What is an hand embellished work on paper?

The term "embellish," as defined by Webster, means "to enhance beauty through ornamentation, adornment, or the addition of fanciful details." When discussing art on canvas or paper, embellishing involves painting over specific areas of the image to intensify colors and/or add distinctive brush strokes to the final piece.

To transform it into a truly unique work of art, one-of-a-kind, I take an additional step by incorporating a small animal face or butterfly into the print. These additions are never in the same location and are always done in different colors.

Because embellished canvases or paper prints demand a higher level of artistic engagement compared to their unembellished counterparts, art enthusiasts can come closer to owning an original piece at a fraction of the cost.
